ReplyDeleteI don't think it will be of much use to have politicians phone numbers as that could just tie them up. However it would be nice if each member of Parliament had an email address so that comments and suggestions can be emailed to them. And they should read their email and have their staff respond.
ReplyDeleteAs it is even now when I go on the Prime Ministers website you can only send comments under feedback and a message shows up once you click submit stating Thank You For Your Views.
I have sent recently three feedbacks concerning the India-Pakistan terror issue. And I am yet to receive one reply from the Prime Minister's office. Perhaps they must be getting thousands of feedbacks. So I have my doubt of ever receiving a reply. But that is what should change. The P.M office needs to increase their staff or set up a call centre to deal with answering people's emails.
Those who are in charge of such a call centre should have be qualified with some degree in political sciences. They can gather the most received concerns from people or questions that require response and then the call centre staff and the P.M team along with the P.M can hold a meeting once a month and the P.M can convey his response to the call centre staff who in turn can then send out replies to those who have sent in emails.
The call centre staff should be available to other members of Parliament who can also go through similar process.

I know how the most power full and revolutionized technology i.e. the Information Technology of the world is being abused in India. Just an example, there is a Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, of Govt. of India, which is totally dedicated for the Public Grievances and reforms, also many other online portals where anyone can lodge a complaint online, do you think it works, not at all. However, they have huge manpower which comprises of so many secretaries and assistant secretaries and lots of general staff and top of that a minister, but they don’t have time and most importantly the will power.

After reading couple of comments from the top i was amazed that some indians still have the Pessimistic thoughts to the idea which is being implemented by Mr. Rahul Gandhi. All - Its always better to implement some ideas rather than to just think it wont work. Who knows it will work or not. It will be only the outcome of the whole process that will let us know whether its working good or not. All - India needs to change We need someone from the younger generation to lead INDIA , where are we in the world has anybody thought about it. Few examples give the image of india - worst airports , poor security, corruption the highest (well no body wants to work honestly) , Illiteracy , poverty , loop holes in the laws ,bad courts. We need leader who has a proactive aproach to some of these problems. Thinking should be an out of the box thinking so guys whatever new ideas are please be optimistic about it and let it get implemented.

Smriti Giri i would like to really have an appointment with Mr. Rahul Gandhi becoz on the screen n off the screen human being reacts very differently n i want to know is Mr. Gandhi is really intrested in youths or its just a myth only. Because i have been trying to get to him since long time but as he says yesterday in pragati maidan that amm junta has to have some influence or contact or reference than only they can meet them.
